The Video Editor/Shooter will report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and will be based in San Francisco. S/he will work with WildAid’s in-house Producers. Her/his primary task will be television documentary production in multiple languages and s/he may also be involved in public service announcement production. S/he should be an experienced editor/shooter with a focus on broadcast documentaries and small crew field production. S/he knows editing primarily, but can also light and shoot when required. Currently planned projects are: i) a feature co-production on the history of the organization ii) documentaries on threats to tigers, pangolins, manta rays, sharks, and the environmental advantages of a low carbon diet, and iii) multiple public service announcements.

Ideally, candidates will have spent some part of their career working in broadcast television or feature documentary production. Experience in the area of international conservation would be an advantage.
Demonstrated success in production and securing distribution and solid relationship-building skills are essential.
Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills are required. A flexible, nimble, and collaborative style is critical to success in this position; the culture of WildAid is highly independent, creative, and entrepreneurial.
This individual will show sensitivity and the ability to establish respect, credibility, and trust with regional office staff and in multicultural settings. The successful candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity and excited by the opportunity to work in a dynamic, start-up-like environment.
Mandarin language skills would be an important asset.
We seek an experienced video production professional with prior full-time and progressively responsible leadership positions. Due to the entrepreneurial nature of the organization and the high profile nature of its support base, candidates should have a minimum of eight years of experience in a production role.
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required; an advanced degree is preferred. Experience working with broadcast television or feature documentary production is highy desired and prior work in the area of international conservation would be an advantage..
