Maurice Greene is a retired American track and field sprinter and Olympic gold medalist. He once held the 100 meters world record for fastest time of 9.79 seconds. Green participated in the 2000 and 2004 Olympics, winning 2 gold medals, 1 silver and 1 bronze. Greene also won 6 gold medals in the indoor and outdoor World Championships, and 2 gold medals in the Goodwill Games.
