WildAid inspires change and empowers the world to protect wildlife and vital habitats from critical threats including illegal wildlife trafficking, climate change, and illegal fishing.

WildAid delivers impact at scale in two distinct ways: 1) creating innovative communications campaigns that inspire millions of people in China, South East Asia, Africa, and the U.S. to protect endangered wildlife and reduce climate impacts, and 2) strengthening effective ocean enforcement of priority marine areas including marine protected areas, coastal fisheries, coral reefs, and blue carbon habitats with government, NGO, and community partners in 16 countries around the globe.

In 2022/23, we implemented a bold new strategic plan and expanded our mission, building on WildAid’s historic success in inspiring behavior change.

Fundamental to our new mission is widening the aperture of the critical threats we address. Historically, WildAid has focused on ending the illegal wildlife trade. Today, while we continue this important work where significant markets remain, we have shifted our focus to also address unsustainable human consumption that drives climate change, habitat destruction, and biodiversity loss.

These threats put enormous pressure on nature, pushing endangered wildlife—on land and in the ocean—into new territories in search of food, water, and the shelter they need for survival. WildAid is now capitalizing on its unique position to tackle these threats head-on.
