Amitabh Bachchan is an Indian film actor, producer, singer, and television presenter. He is known as the King of Bollywood, and has won many major awards for his acting including four National Film Awards and fifteen Filmfare Awards; Bachchan holds the record for most Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor nominations at the Filmfare Awards. He started his career as the popular “angry young man” in Bollywood cinema in the 1970s and has become one of the most famous actors in India. Bachchan was also an elected member of the Indian Parliament from 1984 to 1987.
