Musician and WildAid ambassador for Africa and elephants
Jacqueline Ntuyabaliwe Mengi began her career as a vocalist with the Tanzanian band The Tanzanites. In 2000, she won the Miss Tanzania competition and represented her country at Miss World. In 2004 she released her first solo album with a hit single Nalia kwa Furaha. She followed this with another album in 2007. For this work she received numerous nominations in the category Best Female Vocalist. After almost ten years in the music industry she switched careers to interior design. In 2016 she launched her own furniture brand, winning two awards for her designs.
