Formerly an award-winning Ecuadorian TV host, and first female sports presenter in Ecuador, Maria currently lives in the U.S. and competes in various triathlons, including 23 Ironman 70.3 competitions and four Ironman World Championships in Austria (2015) Australia (2016), Chattanooga (2017) and South Africa (2018).
