Alphonse “Roger” Milla is one of Africa’s most celebrated footballers, renowned for his decisive performances for the Cameroonian national team and in European club football. He won multiple Africa Cup of Nations titles and became internationally famous for his performance in the 1990 FIFA World Cup. Beyond sport, Milla is a powerful activist: through his foundation Cœur d’Afrique (“Heart of Africa”), he runs initiatives that convert plastic waste into building materials, employ youth in waste-collection and recycling, and work to reduce pollution and flooding in Cameroon. He also participates in movements to raise awareness of climate change, environmental protection, and youth empowerment. As a WildAid Ambassador, he supports the Say No to Pangolin Meat campaign among other  influential voices.
