WildAid hosted a Celebration for the Ocean on June 18, 2019 in San Francisco. The invite-only event featured a Keynote Speech by WildAid’s friend and partner, Dr. Sylvia Earle, Pioneering Oceanographer, a discussion with Meaghan Brosnan, WildAid’s Marine Program Director, on WildAid’s ambitious plans to improve the effectiveness of 250 marine protected areas, a stunning marine photography gallery collection by Kristin Hettermann of OCEANSCAPES Photography, and recognition of the Jeremy Dossetter Living Ocean Fund.
About Meaghan Brosnan: As WildAid’s Marine Program Director, Meaghan aims to provide effective marine protection to 250 MPAs by 2025. For 15 years, Meaghan has worked in the U.S. Coast Guard and various organizations to reduce illegal fishing activity around the world. She is an expert in domestic and international fisheries management, compliance, and enforcement.
