By Corie Knights, on behalf of the WildAid staff

When Jackie walked in the WildAid doors in early 2015 as our volunteer we all adored her instantly.

She elevated the office with her boundless energy, enthusiasm, giving nature, intelligence, sweetness and love for what she was doing.

To spread the conservation message, Jackie helped build our Instagram profile. She also made herself available to all who needed help. She was part of our team and we loved having her with us.

I looked forward to the days that Jackie was going to be in the office because she was a ray of sunshine. She said to me many times, “I’m by your side Corie, whatever you need.”

She was small in build, but fierce and strong, with a warrior spirit. There was nothing she couldn’t do.

Jackie had such a great and positive outlook on life. She saw the good and brought out the best in everyone she met. Those she left behind will live the rest of our lives honoring her beautiful spirit.

WildAid recognizes one of our ambassadors every year with a Wildlife Champion Award, and this year we humbly honor Jackie.

It has an eternal flame as she will never be forgotten. Our sweet friend is always and forever in our hearts.

About WildAid

WildAid is a non-profit organization with a mission to protect wildlife from illegal trade and other imminent threats. While most wildlife conservation groups focus on protecting animals from poaching, WildAid primarily works to reduce global consumption of wildlife products such as elephant ivory, rhino horn and shark fin soup. With an unrivaled portfolio of celebrity ambassadors and a global network of media partners, WildAid leverages more than $308 million in annual pro-bono media support with a simple message: When the Buying Stops, the Killing Can Too.
